The Premiere ARTV AWARDS event was held on October 28 & 29th, 2005, in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada at the luxurious MGM GRAND Resort. This event was the first ever, red carpet, nationally visible and recognized, visual arts event in AMERICA.

Hosted by Cheech Marin, famed comic/actor gave this show the entertaining element that was needed to keep the audience totally involved. This production featured the famed painter/actor ANTHONY QUINN with the honorary "Lifetime Achievement Award", presented by son Alex and accepted by wife Katherine and two youngest children, Antonia and Ryan.

The event was an active, artistic 'show,' with heavy multi-media presentation, similar to other national events in the recording and movie/TV industries. Media activities included live presentations, multi-media presentations, video presentations of the artists and their works, and recognition of the sponsors in a variety of memorable ways backed with musical support, and celebrity attendance.

The presentation was in 'Golden Globe' style, with music and video screens to enliven the proceedings. There were celebrity presenters of the awards, celebrity interviews, music and art sequences - all intended to grab the interest of the audience, with a RED CARPET like no other!

Artist's nominations in various categories were announced at a pre-awards press party in NEW YORK CITY on March 4th, 2005, and continued each month until June 2005 culminating at the WEST COAST press party and preview at the Museum of TV and Radio in Beverly Hills, Ca. Our National Campaign has begun. Further Publicity and advertising in specific art industry magazines will bring the awards event to the attention of the North American art world.

An award-winning TV/Film Production company, MEDIA UNDERGROUND, applied their excellent technical production skills to the event with fixed and roaming cameras, special sound capture, and state-of-the-art digital video equipment. ARTV provided event planning, including fly-in planning, reservations, hotel preparation, showroom preparation, including the actual showroom and the celebrity lounge, and planning and production of the other events supporting the ARTV AWARDS.

Marking the "first of its kind" in America, the one-hour presentation aired on NBC's BRAVO Channel

in March 2007.
